General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, has recalled a testimony of God’s faithfulness in overcoming obstacles to establish the first parish of the Redeemed Presence of God in Israel.

The ambassador, a kind and diplomatic man, initially laughed at the idea. “Everybody knows that the best friend of Israel is America,” the ambassador explained, pointing out that while Israel might accept Roman Catholic, Anglican, or Baptist churches, there was no room for Pentecostal churches.
He expressed doubt that a church from Nigeria would be welcomed.
According to Adeboye, “The ambassador laughed. I said, ‘Sir, but my own case will be different.’ He laughed.”
“Finally, being a diplomat, he said, ‘Well, look, if you are not going to listen to the truth, what do you want me to do?’ I said, ‘I just want you to help me take the letter, the application for registration. Help me take it to them.’
“You are an ambassador, so you can walk in. You can enter where I can’t enter. Help me take the letter.”
According to Adeboye, after six months, the RCCG’s request for registration was approved, and the church was successfully established in Israel.
