The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has assured Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, of the Church’s ongoing support as the state navigates its current difficulties.
Pastor Adeboye made the statement during a visit to Government House in Jos on Wednesday. He was accompanied by senior officials from RCCG and members of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
Addressing the governor, Adeboye said the Church remains concerned about the state’s situation and is committed to continued intercession. He emphasized that human capacity has its limits and that only divine intervention can bring lasting solutions to complex challenges.
“In times like this, when the strength of man may not be enough, we look to God, who never fails. That’s why we are organizing an hour of prayer this evening, trusting that God will respond and bring change to Plateau,” he said.
He encouraged residents of the state to participate in the prayer session, expressing belief that collective spiritual effort can positively impact the situation.
“We want to let the government and people of Plateau know they are not alone. The Church stands with them, and we believe God will grant peace and progress,” he added.
In response, Governor Mutfwang expressed appreciation for the visit and the prayers. He acknowledged the significance of the support from the Church and welcomed the encouragement.
“We are grateful for your concern and presence here today. It gives us strength to know that the Church is praying with us and for us. We believe that, with God’s help, Plateau will overcome its challenges,” Mutfwang said.
