Marking its 17th anniversary, Life Impact Church demonstrated its commitment to community well-being by hosting a free medical outreach in Kaduna.
Senior Pastor, Linus Midalla emphasized that this initiative, the third of its kind and planned to expand, stems from the church’s desire to “pray, care, and also give back to society” after recognizing the health challenges faced by many in the community with limited access to care.
During the event, Pastor Midalla highlighted that the outreach offered “free consultations, medications, and referrals to hospitals for cases requiring advanced medical attention,” all provided by “seasoned professionals who are well-known and currently serving in the state.”
He also advocated for a holistic approach to healing, advising, “I have prayed for people and seen them healed. I believe in divine healing. However, if your faith cannot carry you, seek medical help.” Beyond medical assistance, the church also “distributed clothes and other items to members of the community.”
Pastor Midalla reaffirmed the church’s dedication to “continuous service to humanity,” promising to sustain and grow the initiative.
Ms Barbara Nangmaro, a church member and official in the Sanitation Department, described the outreach as “a reflection of the church’s mandate to make positive impacts on lives.”
She explained that the provision of “free medical services, clothings, water and other items, was made possible through contributions from church members and supporters,” leveraging the “internal resources, including a team of qualified medical professionals, who were also members of the congregation.”
The impact of the outreach was evident in the testimonies of beneficiaries. Mrs Martha Silas shared, “If not for this, I wouldn’t have known some hidden ailments inside me. So, it made me more aware of my health.”
Another beneficiary, Josephine David, lauded the program as “timely and impactful,” adding, “Some of us didn’t know if we were sick or not, until we came for the medical check-up and got to know our health status. After examining us, they knew what steps to take.”
