Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), has been recognised for his continued work in helping the less privileged. His support for widows, orphans, and struggling families has received national attention, leading to his recent recognition as a Diplomat for Peace.
The honour was presented on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the Senate President, Godswill Obot Akpabio. It was in appreciation of Apostle Chinyere’s direct contributions to the welfare of Nigerian police officers and their families. According to the official citation, “The Nigerian President, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR ably represented by the President of the Senate and number 3 man in Nigeria His Excellency Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON Presented award to HRM KING APOSTLE CHIBUZOR GIFT CHINYERE Founder /General Overseer Omega Power Ministries (OPM) in recognition of his invaluable support to the Nigerian Police Force in key areas of support for injured Police personnel, widows of officers killed in line of duty, renovation of some Police Infrastructure and overseas scholarships to children of Nigerian police officers who died in active service.”
Apostle Chinyere’s humanitarian programmes include free schools, medical centres, and housing for those who cannot afford basic services. Through OPM, many children now attend school without paying fees, and several widows have found support through empowerment schemes.
His support for families of police officers, especially those who died in service, has helped ease their burdens. The scholarships he offers give children in those families a chance to continue their education abroad.
This recent recognition adds to the growing list of acknowledgments for his commitment to community service.
