Former Vice President, Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Olatunji Abioye, has officially launched his new ministry, Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly.
This announcement came during his inaugural Sunday morning service held on May 4, 2025, which was broadcast live on Facebook and received with great excitement by the worshippers. The new church is located in Mabushi, Abuja.
Bishop Abioye, who served for more than 40 years in Winners Chapel, formerly held the position of first Vice Chairman of the ministry and was the Senior Pastor at Living Faith Church, Goshen City, Abuja, where he pastored over 30,000 congregants.
His tenure at Winners Chapel officially concluded on October 18, 2024, following the implementation of a revised church policy known as The Mandate, which stipulates that pastors in the ministry retire after the age of 55.
Following his retirement, Bishop Abioye began a non-denominational fellowship that held every Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Los Angeles Mall in Kado, Abuja. However, during the final evening session held on April 27, he announced a shift to Sunday morning services, stating that worship would now commence at 8 a.m. This change took effect with the inaugural service of his new ministry on May 4.
According to Bishop Abioye, this development was not in response to public demand or personal ambition, but a fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose that is now unfolding in His appointed time.
“May I make it clear that the inauguration of this assembly is not in response to people’s demands to start a church, but by emergence of God’s eternal purpose ordained from the foundation of the world, which is just coming to light at his own time.
“This is simply an offshoot of the church of Jesus universal, which keeps expanding and spreading across the globe in furtherance of the great commission as commanded in Matthew 28:18-20 and several other gospels,” he said.
