Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has clarified that his focus is on preaching holiness, not prosperity.
During a recent sermon, he stated that his goal is to guide people toward a deeper relationship with God through holy living, rather than emphasizing material wealth.
“I am not a prosperity preacher; I am a preacher of holiness,” Adeboye said, adding that the essence of the Christian faith is righteousness and obedience to God’s word.
While he acknowledged that God blesses His followers, Adeboye stressed that the pursuit of holiness should always be the primary focus for believers. He warned that seeking prosperity without a foundation of holiness can lead to spiritual danger.
The pastor, who has led RCCG since 1981, has consistently preached messages on salvation, sanctification, and living a life of holiness.
