The Living Seed Church in Omole, a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has continued its monthly outreach that offers food support to members of the community.
The program, which runs on the first Sunday of each month, has become a consistent channel of relief for families and individuals facing financial strain.
Driven by the church’s Corporate Social Responsibility Inreach team, the outreach is coordinated under the supervision of Oluwafemi Oyesile. The effort focuses not only on church members but also reaches residents within and around Omole who are finding it difficult to meet basic needs due to inflation and economic pressure.
Pastor Adeola Abolaji, who leads the parish, pointed to the scriptural basis for the initiative, quoting Matthew 25:40, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” His words underscored the intention behind the church’s continued commitment to serving others in practical ways.
According to him, the outreach as part of a responsibility to respond to community needs and complement existing efforts by public institutions.
