General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has made a generous donation to the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC) in Ilesa, Osun State.
To commemorate the hospital’s 50th anniversary, Adeboye contributed a fully equipped dialysis center that will significantly impact the healthcare services in the region.
The new facility includes three dialysis machines, comfortable beds for patients, a reverse osmosis system for water purification, a 30 KVA generator, and air conditioning units, ensuring a reliable and safe environment for dialysis treatments.
Speaking on behalf of Pastor Adeboye, Pastor Funso Odesola highlighted the contrast between the actions of government leaders and the private sector when it comes to supporting local healthcare.
He noted the common practice of politicians seeking medical treatment abroad, rather than focusing on improving Nigerian healthcare facilities.
“Pastor Adeboye is demonstrating the kind of leadership the government should be showing,” Pastor Odesola said. “It’s a shame that so many leaders can’t rely on their own hospitals for care. The example set by Baba G.O. is one that others in power should follow, investing in what we have and making sure we improve our own systems.”
