General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) ,Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the has shared his thoughts on handling anger and staying focused in the face of criticism.
He spoke about how people have insulted him over the years, but emphasized that he chooses not to respond with anger.
Speaking to his congregation, Pastor Adeboye described anger as something that can seriously affect a person’s life. “Anger is temporary madness. You don’t want to be mad,” he said, warning his listeners about how easily it can damage their future. According to him, reacting in anger can lead someone off course and disrupt their purpose.
He also said that some people intentionally try to provoke him. “Some people will do some things that will cause you to be angry, but don’t fall into their trap,” he explained. He stressed the importance of staying calm and not allowing others to take control of one’s emotions.
“A lot of people have been saying whatever they want, all kinds of nonsense about me and they are waiting for me to get angry one day. Insults can’t provoke to anger,” he said.
