Dr Daniel Olukoya, General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, has ordained 5,000 ministers during the 2025 Global Ministers Conference, which concluded on Sunday.
GospelRaw learnt that the three-day gathering, which began on Friday, focused on the theme “The Message, the Messenger, and the Power.”
It featured teaching sessions, leadership training, ordinations, and health-related activities.
The event held at the church’s auditorium along Lagos-Ibadan expressway was to equip church leaders and promote accountability in ministry and also to expand workforce of the church.
During the conference, Dr Olukoya stressed the importance of spiritual discipline and accountability.
He spoke on the need for humility, integrity, and loyalty in leadership.
According to him, ministers must prioritise obedience to God over personal ambition.
He noted that a divine calling must be confirmed by God alone.
“Ministers must avoid rebellion and self-promotion. It is not enough to have talent or passion. A true calling must come from God, and only those who walk in holiness and humility will succeed,” he said.
He also reminded the newly ordained leaders that serving in ministry means leading people with care, not control.
In one of his messages, Dr Olukoya pointed out that every successful minister is the product of godly mentorship. He said, “There can be no Joshua without Moses, no Elisha without Elijah.”
He added that ministers should take time to reflect on their spiritual journey and remain focused after ordination.
Throughout the conference, Dr Olukoya led sessions on practical leadership topics, such as common mistakes leaders make and how to finish strong in ministry.
He also addressed issues that hinder church growth and advised ministers to avoid patterns that can lead to burnout or failure.
Pastor Shade Olukoya also delivered a session on the role of women in ministry.
She encouraged women to see themselves as active participants in spiritual leadership and urged them to overcome barriers that limit their contributions.
Another session led by Prof Albert Oikelome from the University of Lagos highlighted the role of music in worship.
He advised church leaders to invest in their music departments, stating that music plays a major role in creating a worshipful atmosphere and drawing people closer to God.
In addition to the main sessions, participants were offered free health checks and took part in focused prayer services.
