Veteran gospel singer and broadcaster Yinka Ayefele has shared his deep concerns over the pattern of tragic events that seem to occur in his life, particularly in the month of August.
In an emotional message to his listeners on his radio station, following a recent fire incident at Fresh FM 105.9 and Blast FM 98.3 in Ibadan, Ayefele questioned why so many painful moments are tied to this particular month.
The singer recalled the death of his younger brother, Oluwole Ayefele, who was the leader of the anti-robbery squad in Ore. He passed away in a fatal accident on August 2.
He also reflected on the demolition of his well-known Music House in Ibadan on August 19, seven years ago, and most recently, how a fire ravaged his radio stations on August 15, 2025.
“There is something I don’t understand. Some years ago, my immediate younger brother had an accident and d!ed on August 2. Also, seven years ago on August 19, my music house was demolished.
“Now on August 15, 2025, my music house caught fire. It was the men of God who came to pray for me that called my attention to this. Why always August? I don’t know what is going on,” he lamented.
Despite the recurring setbacks, Ayefele expressed his gratitude to God and his supporters. He acknowledged the strength he has received from well-wishers who have continued to stand by him through these difficult times.
